Green Cardamom is an international arts organisation. We develop and run visual arts projects in collaboration with public museums and galleries. These are informed by a South Asian cultural perspective, but situate work in an international context not skewed towards a Euro-American outlook. We run a separate gallery programme and represent contemporary artists from Pakistan, South and Central Asia, and the Middle East.

We work on a not-for-profit basis and are supported by the Rangoonwala Foundation. The Foundation is a family run philanthropic organization with its origins in Pakistan.

  Public projects
Our public projects programme includes exhibitions, publications and events in collaboration with leading museums and galleries. We have worked on projects with organisations in the UK, the US and Pakistan including the Tate Gallery, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Royal Geographical Society, Gasworks, Goldsmiths College, Asia House, Manchester Art Gallery, Rich Mix and Whitechapel Art Gallery in the UK; the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, Connecticut; and the Asian Art Museum, San Francisco in the US; and the Triangle Arts Trust (Vasl), VM Gallery and Kara Film Festival in Pakistan.

  Gallery programme
Our gallery programme helps finance our public projects. We will have our own exhibition space in London by end 2007. We collaborate with international commercial galleries to offer the artists we represent and work with, a larger space. Galleries we work with include Gallery Espace and Nature Morte in India, and VM Art Gallery in Pakistan.
